Training on the Children's Act was provided earlier this year. The Child Justice Act, which deals with children in conflict with the law, provides for a child rights and child friendly approach to children in order to ensure that children alleged to have committed crimes, and those who might acknowledge guilt or be found guilty, are responded to in a way which both protects the rights of these children, whilst still holding them responsible for their behavior and attempting to turn them from a life of crime, via involving them in programmes that promote behavior change.

Objectives:
- To give participants an "overall" knowledge of the contents of the Child Justice Act and regulations
- With the use of case histories, to look at the practical application of the Act and regulations
- To respond to questions that participants may have about the Act and regulations and its application
