PERSONAL LEADERSHIP AND MASTERY WORKSHOP
This three day workshop will engage leaders of non-profit organizations in an extensive exploration of personal leadership that should enable them to lead their organizations more authentically and with a clear vision.

THE WORKSHOP WILL FOCUS ON:
• Understanding the principles of values based leadership
• Understanding yourself as a leader in your context
• Working effectively with your team/organization
• Creating and maintaining an effective vision
• Acquiring skills that will enable you to grow and learn as a leader
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Leaders of community based organizations, school governing bodies, community policing forums, leaders of non-government organizations, sports bodies, religious forums and any other organizations working within a community. This is an equal opportunity workshop and applications will be judged on motivation.
Please note that only applicants who hold leadership positions within their organizations will be considered. All application forms must be accompanied by a letter from the organization being represented and should clearly stipulate the applicants’ current position within the organization and provide a motivation to be registered.
All registered delegates will be required to sign a contract of commitment.
THE FACILITATORS:
The workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Rama Naidu and Ms Colleen Ryan.
Dr Rama Naidu is an Organisation Development Practitioner who has worked in the field of Personal Leadership and team dynamics for the past 16 years in South Africa and internationally. He is also the current Director of the Democracy Development Programme.
Ms Colleen Ryan has been a Development Practitioner for the past 16 years. She is also a trainer and has conducted training in various provinces on Gender and Gender Mainstreaming on GBV in Municipalities. She is presently the Project Co-ordinator for the DDP Cape Town office.
Both facilitators have a passion for personal development and for supporting others to attain their vision, goals and possibilities. We cannot change the world unless we start by changing ourselves. Every little effort in developing yourself, assists the process of development of the world. Development is never only about products but a balance of product and process and it should always be about people.
Total cost:R1000.00 per delegate (Concessions will be made for NGO’s and CBO’s on request)
The facilitation, accommodation and workshop costs will be covered by DDP.
The DDP will not cover costs of travel to and from the venue.
Seats are limited to 18 participants. To avoid disappointment please register early to secure your seat at the workshop.
Forward the application and contract of commitment forms with motivational letters to register with Colleen Ryan no later than 2 September 2011 .
An invoice will be sent with banking details for payment.
Payment must be made to DDP no later than the 23 September 2011 or your place will be forfeited.
