Durban is hosting the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-17) during 28 November 2011 – 8 December 2011.
Join us to find out more about climate change, climate justice and the prospects for the 2011 negotiations.
SPEAKERS:
Bobby Peek is director of the environmental justice NGO, groundWork. He has received international recognition for his campaigning work in the South Durban basin around toxic industry and waste issues. His struggle and passion for environmental justice have earned him international recognition and the prestigious Goldman Prize.

Dr Timothy Adebayo Fasheun is a Senior Manager: Environmental Planning and Coordination in KZN Dept of Agriculture, Environmental Affairs, and Rural Development. He is recognized environment activist with qualifications in Meteorology and Physics and has more than 30 years experience in environmental activism both as an academic and practitioner.
