The Criminal Law (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) Amendment Act applies to both adults and children who are the victims of sexual offences, but has a number of specific and significant provisions that apply specifically to children.

The provisions of this Act are significant in that they expand the judicial response to all forms of sexual exploitation of children, as well as speak to the care and protection of the child as a witness.
Objectives:
- To give participants an "overall" knowledge of the contents of the Act and Regulations
- With the use of case histories, to look at the practical application of the Act and regulations
- To respond to questions that participants may have about the SOA Act and regulations and its application
