NPO Training for Operational Planning using the Log Frame Aproach
12-14 April 2010, DDP Seminar room, Durban - The DDP held this workshop to assist the non profit sector achieve their greatest possible project impact through the best organisational practice.
The workshop involved interactive sessions going through the seven classical steps and included mock exercises. Most of the participants were involved in Log Frames before, but they have expressed their amazement at what they “never saw before”. This approach allowed them to see the bigger picture and then. Drawing a budget based on the activity
they are planning proved extremely insightful.
The facilitator Ms Printha Sewdass being an expert in the field has worked extensively within the NGO sector. The information shared over the three days has been tried and tested. The workshop was designed to address the project cycle of an organisation using the LFA. A properly planned project addressing the real problems of the beneficiaries cannot be achieved without an analysis of the existing situation. The LFA analyses the existing situation as a basis for later planning.
