This was held in the Durban south basin with 25 Grade 11 learners from Merebank Secondary, Fairvale Secondary, Wentworth Secondary, Umbilo Secondary and Grosvenor Girls. One of the aims of the workshop was to assess whether 14 years later are we truly are Rainbow Nation living in Freedom. The outcome of the workshop was a great success, as the learners were very enthusiastic and supportive of the program and the evaluations proved that the learners fully understood and believed in the workshop. Young people are arguably the most affected by the social calamities that plague our country, like high employment, underemployment, HIV/AIDS. More harrowing, they are generally marginalized from decisions affecting them, or even worse, lack information about their right to participate in public affairs.
